Excellence in Health Promotion Awards

Description

This award recognizes individuals and organizations working to improve the health and safety of British Columbians and celebrates those who demonstrate leadership in health promotion.

The BCMA aims to encourage more groups and individuals to undertake health promotion activities by honouring current exceptional health promotion initiatives

Eligibility

Nominees must have:

  • Demonstrated a concern for health and safety through specific actions and/or initiatives
  • Exemplified creativity and initiative in taking action to improve and protect health and safety
  • Brought about change(s) with the potential for positive, long-term improvement in protecting health and safety in BC

Corporate/Non-profit Sector Nominees

Nominees must be:

  • A business or community organization based in BC
  • Contributing, or have recently contributed, to the improvement or protection of health and safety through actions, policy initiatives, or increased public awareness
  • Have been conducting business in BC for one year or more

Companies may nominate their own organizations.

Nominees must consent to their nomination by signing the nomination form.

Individual Nominees

Nominees must be:

  • A resident of BC
  • Contributing, or have recently contributed, to the improvement or protection of health and safety in the province through actions, initiatives, or increased public awareness

Individuals may nominate themselves or may be nominated by someone else.

Nominees must consent to their nomination by signing the nomination form.
